Mary FifieldMary Fifield’s fiction, essays, and reviews have appeared in print journals, such as Colere, Intercom, and Mediphors and in online publications including ChickLit, Midway Journal, and Verbsap. Her story “Elvis Impersonator” won third place in Story magazine’s national fiction contest. Mary attended the 2003 Napa Valley Writers’ Conference and has a Master of Fine Arts in creative writing from San Diego State University. She is Ecuador Program Director for Global Pediatric Alliance, an international community health non-profit organization, and lives in the Ecuadorian Amazon. She writes about indigenous culture, environmental issues, and her adventures as an expatriate in the Amazon on her blog, Traveling Storywriter.
