Miriam Budner is always trying to figure out what kind of change is necessary in fiction, and possible in life. Her stories have been published in a dozen literary journals, and her MFA in fiction writing is from Sarah Lawrence College. She taught fiction writing to a wide array of humanity in New York City, St. Louis, and Tokyo. Now she’s moved home to Portland, Oregon, where she works in arts education, and lives with her partner and son. She’s currently at work on n a novel about Spanish Civil War veterans who get desperate when Ronald Reagan is elected.
